Women's Soccer Faces #9 Catawba Saturday

Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team is set to face #9 Catawba at home on Saturday. 

The first match between these two teams happened over 20 years ago, in September of 2003, where the Lady Railsplitters lost 0-1. They have played each other 23 times since then, the most recent match being October of 2023; LMU lost 1-3. Their series record is 6-12-5. 

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 2-4 loss against the University of North Georgia. Meg Anderson scored off of an Alicia Bevins assist and Ryan Branson scored, unassisted. Anderson, Bevins, Branson, Samantha Hulstaert, and Ellie Snyder are tied for first in points with 2. Bente Latenstein was named this week's women's soccer SAC defensive player of the week. 

The Indians are coming off a 2-2 tie versus Carson-Newman. 

Catawba is currently 5th in the SAC standings while Lincoln Memorial is sitting not too far behind them in 7th. 

Kickoff is set for 1 pm at LMU Lacrosse Complex.
