Harrogate, TN- Women's volleyball will open up their season this week, beginning with their intrasquad scrimmage on Wednesday, September 4th, at 6 PM in Mary Mars Gymnasium. The scrimmage will be a preview into upcoming season that officially will begin this weekend at the Chowan Invitational in Murfeesboro, NC. 

Wednesday will be a preview of the team in their new era under head coach John Cash. LMU was voted ninth in the South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll with graduate student Kristen Moehring voted as First Team in the Preseason All-Conference honors. Moehring had over 300 kills last season, with 17 games of double-digit kills. She will be joined by several other key returners as eleven new faces join the program for the 2024 season. 

Coach Cash said this ahead of Wednesday's event, "We are excited and fortunate to have the opportunity to challenge ourselves once again this Wednesday. The ladies have been working extraordinarily hard to get better in preparation for this tough season ahead. It'll be great to have all the women's volleyball faithful come out and support the team before we traveled to North Carolina for the Chowan Invitational. It's always a great opportunity to play at home and we're definitely pumped to get to do that! Excited to see everybody there."
