Harrogate, TN- Women's volleyball will travel to Carson-Newman on Tuesday, September 10th, to take on the Eagles for a 7 PM contest at Holt Fieldhouse in Jefferson City, TN.
Carson-Newman is 2-1 so far this season, dropping their season opener to #6 Missouri-St. Louis in five sets followed by back-to-back wins against Harding and Union (TN) at the Union Volleyball Classic. The Eagles are hitting .220 so far this season, averaging 12.4 kills per set with three athletes tallying more than 30 kills individually. LMU will look to extend the series lead, holding the historical edge 39-28 in matchups between the two programs.Ā
The 3-0 Splitters will look to continue their momentum from the Chowan Invitational this past weekend, where the team won all three in sweeping fashion.
Kristen Moehring led the way on attack, averaging 3.78 kills per set.
Lauren Pickett has shown to be a key contributor also, with the sophomore setter tallying 84 assists so far to average 9.33 per set. On the defensive side,
Lauren Jacob and
Reagan Wilkerson have racked up in the dig category, averaging 3.67 and 4.11 per set, respectively. Abagail Kesler,
Katherine Bedel, and
Agata Bogdanska also have been solid in their roles, all three with six total blocks apiece so far.
