LMU Cheer Makes History with UCA College Nationals Debut

Harrogate, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Spirit Squad is making history by competing at the national level for the first time ever. This weekend, the Railsplitters will perform at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) College Nationals, held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex inside Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The UCA College National Championship is recognized as the most prestigious collegiate cheerleading competition in the country. Under the leadership of Rhileigh Alred, the LMU Spirit Squad will perform their routine on Friday, January 17 at 9:06 a.m. in the AdventHealth Arena-North. Fans can stream all competition events, including highlights, replays, and breaking news, on Varsity TV with a subscription.  The competition will also be streamed live on FloSports for those that have a FloCollege account to keep up with other LMU teams.

This historic milestone has sparked excitement and pride throughout the LMU community. To honor the team's accomplishments, a special send-off was held on Wednesday, January 15, at Tex Turner Arena. Supporters gathered to wish the cheerleaders good luck as they head to represent LMU on the national stage.
