Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's basketball team will host the Lions of Mars Hill Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm in Tex Turner Arena, seeking for their 8th conference win of the season. 

This will be the 41st meeting between the two teams, with Lincoln Memorial winning the series 28-12. Wednesday's game will be the second time this season that Mars Hill and LMU will face each other, with the first meeting being in November of 2024, which resulted in a 66-53 Lincoln Memorial win. The last time that the two teams have faced off in Harrogate was last season in February of 2024 in which the Lady Railsplitters also came out victorious 91-63. 

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 65-68 loss against Wingate. Kamil Collier, Alexa Smiddy, and Matty Tanner all recorded double-digits in scoring, with Collier adding 14 points, Smiddy registering 13 points, and Tanner posting 12. Collier also led the night in rebounds with 8. 

Currently, Smiddy is leading the team in scoring average, as she is posting 14.1 points per game. Collier and Tanner are behind her, recording 13.6 and 9.9 points oer game, respectively. Collier is the team leader in rebounds, nearly averaging double-digit rebounds per game, sitting at 9.9 per game. Lexi Patty is the second highest leader in rebounds, as she is averaging 5.3 rebounds a game. 

Collier's 9.9 rebounds places her in third in the conference in rebounds per game, just 0.4 away from first. Collier is second in the conference in defensive rebounds per game with 6.8 per game and fourth in the conference in offensive with 3.2 offensive rebounds per game. Smiddy is second in the conference in assists, averaging 4.3 assists per game. Tanner is second in the conference in 3-pointers made with 40, just 1 away from being first in the conference. Smiddy is placed fifth in the conference in 3-pointers made with 37. 

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is second in the conference in 3-pointers made with 137, and third in the conference in free-throw percentage with a percentage of 73.4%. 

Nationally, Alexa Smiddy is second in the nation in minutes per game with 38.19, and Tanner is 13th in the nation with 36.52. Collier is placed 25th in the nation in rebounds per game with 9.9.

Mars Hill is coming off of a 71-62 win over Carson-Newman. 

Lincoln Memorial's record is 8-10 overall and 7-8 in the SAC, and LMU is currently sitting in 7th in the SAC standings. Wingate record is 13-6 overall and 10-5 in the SAC, and the Bulldogs are sitting in 4th in the SAC standings.
