Tigersville SC & Belmont, NC - The Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball team will open up their 2025 season with a pair of games: North Greenville on January 9th at 7 pm and Belmont Abbey on January 10th at 2 pm.

In the American Volleyball Coaches Association Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll, Lincoln Memorial was receiving votes. 

Top returners for this season include Griffin Wheatley, Matthew Gentry, and Tate Colebaugh. Wheatley recorded an average of 2.91 kills per set for a total of 189 kills, and Gentry recorded a total of 84 blocks last season, averaging 0.97 blocks per set. Colebaugh posted an average of 1.70 digs per set, totaling 158 digs. 

LMU vs NGU:
Lincoln Memorial will travel to Tigersville, SC to face North Greenville on Thursday, January 9th with a start time of 7pm. 

This will be the fifth time that the two teams have faced each other, with the series record currently tied at 2-2. Their most recent match up was last season, January of 2024, where the Railsplitters came out victorious 3-2. 

North Greenville was was voted to finish second in the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll.

LMU vs Belmont Abbey:
Following the NGU game, LMU will travel to Belmont, NC to face Belmont Abbey on Friday, January 10th starting at 2 pm. 

The two teams have faced each other 6 times in series history, with the Railsplitters winning 5 of the 6 matches. In their most recent match, Lincoln Memorial defeated Belmont Abbey 3-2. 

Belmont Abbey was also receiving votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll, and was voted to finish first in the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll.
