Men's Soccer Returns Home For Match Against Newberry

Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial men's soccer returns home on Saturday after being on the road last week to face the Newberry Wolves at 5:30 pm. 

The weekend match up will be the 18th overall meeting between the Railsplitters and the Wolves, with LMU dominating the series 12-2-3. The most recent contest between the two teams was last season on October 12, 2024, where Lincoln Memorial defeated Newberry 1-0. The last time that the Railsplitters defeated the Wolves in Harrogate was on October 7, 2017, where LMU came out on top 6-0. 

Lincoln Memorial looking to bounce back at home as they are coming off of a 0-1 loss against Wingate on October 4th. 

Currently, Gian-Carlo Kama is leading the team in points with six for team-high three goals, and Ronan O'Mahony Blondel is the team leader in assists with four. Kama is also the team-leader in shots and shots on goal with 20 and 10, respectively. Goalkeeper Daniel Benedek Miklosi has 26 saves on the season. 

In the South Atlantic Conference, O'Mahony Blondel is leading in assists per game (0.50) and in total assists (4). Kama is 5th in shot accuracy (0.500), 6th in shots per game (2.22), and 6th in total goals (4). Benedek Miklosi is 4th in saves per game (2.89) and 5th in total saves (26). 

Nationally, O'Mahony Blondel is 26th in total assists and 24th in assists per game. 

The Wolves are coming off of a 4-0 win over Bob Jones University on October 7th. 

The Railsplitters are entering the weekend contest with a 2-6-1 overall record and an conference record of 2-2-1. In the SAC standings, Lincoln Memorial in 3rd place. 

Newberry is coming into Saturday with a 5-1-2 overall record and a 1-1-2 conference record. The Wolves are tied for 5th place with Coker in the SAC standings. 

The theme for Saturday's match is Blue Out, encouraging all fans to wear blue in support of the Railsplitters.

Kickoff is set for 5:30 pm at LMU Lacrosse Complex. The match will be played on Flo College, and the link to the stream along with live stats can be found below.
