Cleveland, TN – The Lincoln Memorial University men's tennis team rounded out their fall campaign with a trip to compete in the Lee Hidden Duals invitational on Saturday. The Railsplitters faced competition from Lee University and the University of the Cumberlands.  

The Railsplitters doubles teams showed strong performances early, as four teams claimed wins during the event. The team of Radu Florea and Ethan Hirons would go undefeated on the afternoon, defeating the number four team from Cumberlands 6-2 in their first match before taking a 6-4 win over Cumberlands number three duo. Round two of doubles play would see Sergio Sebastian Aranzeta Boneta and Victor Bourguignon claim a win over the number one doubles team from Cumberlands.  

LMU's fourth win in the doubles category came from their number four pairing of Roy and Garcia, who took down their opponents from Cumberland 6-2 to round out doubles play for the day.  

In singles competition, the Railsplitters would earn three wins on the court. Jakub Hrasek would earn the first win of the day, defeating an opponent from Lee in straight sets. Aranzeta Boneta continued his stretch of dominance from doubles play over to the singles pairings, as he took down an opponent from Lee in three sets. Florea would round out the day for the Splitters, going undefeated on the court with a three-set victory over his opponent from Cumberlands.  

The Railsplitters will take the rest of the fall season off before starting spring competition on February 6 hosting Cumberlands.
