Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team will have their last home match of the regular season on Wednesday, October 29th as they host non-conference opponent the Clayton State Lakers at 3 pm.

The midweek contest will be the 5th all-time match up between the two teams, with the Railsplitters falling in the series 1-2-1. Their most recent contest was on September 8, 2021 at Clayton State, where the match ended in a 2-2 draw in double overtime. The only time that LMU has played the Lakers in Harrogate was on August 18, 2007, and the Railsplitters fell to Clayton State 1-2. 

Lincoln Memorial is looking to end their home regular season schedule on a positive note as they are coming off of a 0-1 loss against Anderson on October 25th. 

Paige Branam and Ellie Snyder are leading the team in points with 12, with Branam having five goals and two assists and Snyder with four goals and four assists. Filsner the team-leader in shots and shots on goal with 40 and 24, respectively. Goalkeeper Emma Cooke has 62 saves on the season so far for a 74% save percentage. 

In the South Atlantic Conference, Branam is 7th in the conference in game-winning goals (2), and Cooke is 1st in the conference in goalie minutes played (1350), 6th in saves per game (4.13), 4th in shutouts (6), and is leading the conference in total saves (62). FIlsner is 4th in shot accuracy (0.600), 3rd in shots per game (2.67), 2nd in shots on goal per game (1.60), and 6th in assists (5).

Nationally, Cooke is 7th in goalie minutes played.

As a team, LMU is 4th in the SAC iin corner kicks per game (6.20), 3rd in shots per game (15), 3rd in shots on goal per game (7.47), and 6th total assists (19). Nationally, the Railsplitters are 26th in corner kicks per game. 

Clayton State is coming off of a 0-0 draw against Georgia Southwestern on October 25th.

The Railsplitters are entering the midweek match with a 6-5-4 overall record and a conference record of 2-7-3. In the SAC standings, LMU is in 7th place with nine points. 

The Lakers are going into Wednesday with an overall record of 4-7-2 and a 3-5-1 Peach Belt Conference record. Clayton State is sitting in 8th in the PBC standings.
