Men's Soccer On The Road To Wingate Saturday

Wingate, NC - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team will travel to Wingate, NC on Saturday to face the  Wingate Bulldogs at 1 pm. 

The weekend meeting will be the 22nd overall contest between the Railspliters and the Bulldogs, with LMU falling in the series 4-14-3. The most recent match was last season on October 5th, 2024, and Lincoln Memorial shut out the ranked Bulldogs 2-0. The last time that the Railsplitters defeated Wingate in Wingate was on October 24, 2011 where LMU came out on top 2-0.

Lincoln Memorial is looking to recover as they faced their first loss in conference play on October 1st with a 2-1 loss against Tusculum. Damian Saccento recorded his first collegiate goal in the 57th minute, with Botond Skulka getting the assist. 

Currently, Gian-Carlo Kama is leading the team in points with six for team-high three goals, and Ronan O'Mahony Blondel is the team leader in assists with four. Goalkeeper and SAC Defensive Player of the Week Daniel Benedek Miklosi has 23 saves on the season. 

In the South Atlantic Conference, O'Mahony Blondel is 2nd in assists per game (0.50) and 1st in assists (4). Benedek Miklosi is 4th in saves per game (2.88) and 4th in total saves (23). Kama is 3rd in total goals (3) and 8th in total points (6). Skulka is 7th in total assists (2) and 8th in assists per game (0.33) and Thomas Chao is 7th in total assists (2). 

Nationally, O'Mahony Blondel is 16th in total assists. 

The Pioneers are coming off of a 3-1 loss against Anderson on September 27th. 

The Railsplitters are entering the weekend contest with a 2-5-1 overall record and an conference record of 2-1-1. In the SAC standings, Lincoln Memorial is tied for first place with Anderson and Emory & Henry.  

Wingate is coming into Saturday with a 1-5 overall record and a 1-1 conference record. The Pioneers are tied for 4th place with Carson-Newman and Tusculum. 

Kickoff is set for 1 pm in Wingate, NC. The match will be played on Flo College, and the link to the stream along with live stats can be found below.
