Men's Soccer Faces Emory & Henry In SAC Semifinal Friday

Matthews, NC – Lincoln Memorial men's soccer travels to Matthews, NC to play in the SAC semifinal match on Friday, November 14th, to face the #2 seed the Emory & Henry Wasps at 8 pm at the Matthews Sportsplex. 

Friday's contest will be the 5th overall match up between the two teams, with Lincoln Memorial winning the series 3-0-1. They most recently faced each other earlier this month on November 5th , where the match ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to a last second goal from the Railsplitters. LMU and E&H have never faced off in the Matthews Sportsplex. 

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 2-1 win over #6 seed Coker in the SAC quarterfinal on November 9th. Enrique Martin scored the first goal early in the match in the 7th minute, with the Gian-Carlo Kama earning the assist. In the 51st minute, Szymon Sokolnicki scored his first career goal, assisted by Ronan O'Mahony Blondel

Currently, Kama is leading the team in points with 15 for seven goals and one assist, and O'Mahony Bondel is the team-leader in assists with five. Kama also leads in shots and shots on goal with 35 and 17, respectively. Daniel Benedek Miklosi has 58 saves on the season.
 
In the South Atlantic Conference, O'Mahony Blondel is leading in assists per game (0.38) and tied for leading in total assists (5). Kama is third in goals per game (0.44), sixth in points per game (0.94), fifth in shot accuracy (48.6%), seventh in shots per game (2.19), seventh in shots on goal per game (1.06), second in total goals (7), and second in total points (15).  Botond Skulka is ninth in assists per game (0.23). Benedek Miklosi is fifth in save percentage (74.4%), third in saves per game (3.63), and leading the conference in total saves (58). 

As a team, Lincoln Memorial fifth in assists per game (1), fourth in save percentage (75.3%), second in saves per game (3.81), fifth in scoring offense (1.25), fourth in total assists (16), and fifth in total goals (20).

The Railsplitters are entering Friday's match with a 7-7-2 overall record. 

The Wasps are coming into Friday with a 8-3-5 overall record.
