Women’s Volleyball Concludes Season at Lenoir–Rhyne

Hickory, NC - Women's Volleyball closed its 2025 campaign on Friday night with a 3–0 setback at Lenoir–Rhyne inside Shuford Arena, falling 25–17, 25–23, 25–19. The result leaves the Railsplitters at 10–17 overall and 6–12 in South Atlantic Conference play; they will not advance to the SAC Tournament.

LMU's offense found rhythm in stretches, highlighted by Laney Inman's efficient 10 kills on .381 hitting and a late push in the second set that saw the Railsplitters level the frame at 18–18 and edge ahead 21–20 before the Bears closed it out. Jazmine Starks delivered a clean 7 kills on .700 hitting, while Georgia Dobson added 6, and Kaytlin Johnson chipped in 5. Setters Lauren Pickett (16 assists) and Carley Raleigh (12) steered a 32-kill night; LMU finished at .121 with 4 service aces and 7 total blocks. Defensively, Megan Maier posted a team-high 12 digs and 2 aces, and Lauren Jacob added 9 digs. Middle Sarah Robbins paced the net with 5 blocks (2 solo).

Lenoir–Rhyne answered with balance and a first-ball sideout, totaling 48 kills at .320 with 9 blocks and 4 aces. Emmaleigh Allen led the Bears with 13 kills (.281), Kayli Cleaver added 10 (.273), and Rachael Chambers was a factor at the net with 7 total blocks. Emmie Modlin contributed on both fronts (6 kills, .385; 11 assists; 5 block assists) as the hosts won a tight second set and pulled away late in the third. 

With the regular season complete, Women's Volleyball finishes 10–17 overall (6–12 SAC). Friday's match capped a late stretch of improved first contact and blocking, and the group now turns its focus to offseason work and player development.
