Harrogate, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team is slated to be back on its home floor for a Black Friday match up with the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears. The two teams met three times last year, leading to some of the best games in the South Atlantic Conference throughout the season. The Railsplitters traveled to Hickory first last season, with the Bears taking a narrow victory at home. Lincoln Memorial responded with an emphatic statement-win over Lenoir-Rhyne in Tex Turner Arena before the tandem met in the conference championship game, seeing the Bears once again take a narrow, four-point victory to claim the South Atlantic Conference title.

Both teams began the season ranked in the top-25, but have since moved just outside the rankings and are both receiving votes. Lenoir-Rhyne was awarded the top spot in the SAC preseason poll, with Lincoln Memorial and Anderson tied for second. Both teams have played tough competition this season with the Railsplitters falling narrowly in overtime to 11th-ranked North Georgia, and the Bears dropping a pair of games to start the season against 3rd-ranked Daemen (NY) and 12th-ranked Michigan Tech. Lincoln Memorial enters Friday's contest 2-2 on the season, while Lenoir-Rhyne bolsters a 5-2 record. The Railsplitters dominate the all-time series 28-7. 

Lincoln Memorial comes into the game averaging 87.3 points-per-game, holding its opponents to 80.3 points-per-game. EJ Smith leads the Railsplitters in scoring, averaging 14.8 points-per-game. He is followed by Yassin Hussein, averaging 13.0 points-per-game and a team-leading 6.0 rebounds-per-game. Nate Mims averages 12.5 points-per-game and is the teams second-leading rebounder, hauling in 4.8 boards-per-game. Drew Lewis averages 11.3 points-per-game, 4.3 rebounds-per-game, and a team-leading 4.0 assists-per-game. Jayden Spearman also averages 11.3 points-per-game, leading the Railsplitters from beyond the arc, connecting on 43% of attempts from long-range. 

Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne are slated to tip-off at 4 PM in Harrogate on Black Friday.
