Jefferson City, TN - Women's Volleyball heads to Carson–Newman on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. for a pivotal South Atlantic Conference road match. With three contests left, Women's Volleyball sits sixth in the league at 6–9 (10–14 overall); the top eight qualify for the SAC Tournament.
Carson–Newman (19–4, 10–4 SAC) brings one of the conference's most efficient attacks, averaging 13.52 kills per set on .236 hitting. The Eagles are led by outside Emerson Ahsmuhs (4.06 k/s, .275), middle Maddie Hurst (2.75 k/s, .304), and setter Blair Cherry (10.15 a/s), with libero Trinity Hafey anchoring the defense (4.00 d/s).
The Railsplitters enter at .17,2 hitting with 1.9 aces per set and balance across the lineup. Outside, Kaytlin Johnson leads the way (242 kills, 3.14 k/s, .199), while Megan Maier adds 185 kills on the pin. In the middle, Sarah Robbins (73 total blocks) and Alexia McGee (.219) supply scoring and net presence. The setting tandem of Carley Raleigh (436 a, 5.19 a/s) and Lauren Pickett (396 a, 4.50 a/s) drives tempo, and the back row is paced by Lauren Jacob (338 digs, 4.97 d/s), with support from Johnson (181 digs) and Riley Lockhart.
The teams met earlier this season on Oct. 7 in Harrogate, where Carson–Newman won 3–1 (25–23, 25–23, 16–25, 25–17).
