Harrogate, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial University men's basketball team returns to Tex Turner Arena on Wednesday night for a key South Atlantic Conference match up, hosting the surging Mars Hill Lions. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 PM on December 10 with the Railsplitters looking to build momentum and defend their home floor. Lincoln Memorial dominates the all-time series 40-9.

LMU enters the match up at 3–4 overall and 0–2 in SAC play, but the record hasn't overshadowed the flashes of high-level production throughout the early season. The Railsplitters are averaging 85.1 points per game while shooting 47.4% from the floor and have knocked down 53 three-pointers through seven contests. Leading the charge is EJ Smith, who has established himself as one of the SAC's most balanced and efficient scoring guards. Smith comes into Wednesday's game averaging 13.1 points per game while shooting 48.7% from the field and 83.3% from the charity stripe.

LMU continues to benefit from a deep scoring core. Yassin Hussein enters the contest averaging 10.9 points and a team-best 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting 58.8% from the field. Nate Mims also contributes 10.9 points per game, including eight made threes and a 77.4% mark from the free-throw line. Drew Lewis adds 10.6 points per contest while shooting 39.1% from long range and providing 4.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Jayden Spearman provides additional perimeter scoring at 9.3 points per game along with a team-leading 16 three-pointers. In the front court, Walter Campbell adds 7.1 points per game on an efficient 60.7% shooting clip. LMU's offensive depth is complemented by strong rebounding numbers, pulling down 35.0 boards per game, including 89 on the offensive glass thus far this season.
