Women's Lacrosse Travels to North Greenville Saturday

Tigersville, SC - The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team will travel to Tigersville, SC to face the Trailblazers of North Greenville on Saturday, with their match set to start at 2 pm. 

This will be the fourth time that the two teams will be facing each other, with LMU winning the series 2-1. Their most recent match up was in February of 2023, where the Railsplitters came out victorious 18-9. The last time that the two teams faced off in Tigersville was in April of 2016, where the Trailblazers defeated LMU 4-7. 

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 12-10 win against Young Harris. Amber Kirkpatrick would lead in points on the night with 1 goal and game-high 5 assists and Josie Tinnerello would earn 5 points off of game-high 4 goals and 1 assist. Jaiden Jaynes and Jaedyn Ryba would both add 2 goals each for the Railsplitters. Jalee Davis, Breanna Booth, and McKenzie Cates would each add 1 goal. Keegan Gillman also recorded 8 saves. 

Currently, Tinnerello is the team-leader in points with 15,  coming from 9 goals and 6 assists and a shot on goal percentage of 78.9%. Kirkpatrick is 1 point behind her with 14, coming from 6 goals and 8 assists with a shot on goal percentage of 60%. Ryba is leading the team in draw controls with 11, with Samantha Billingsley right behind her with 10. Delaney Duck and Gillman are both the team-leaders in ground balls with 6 each, and Duck is leading in caused turnovers with 6. 

In the SAC, 5 different players are within the top 10 in goals scored: Tinnerello tied for 2nd with 9 goals, Cates tied for 4th with 7 goals, and Jaynes, Kirkpatrick, and Ryba all tied for 6th with 6 goals. Three players are within the top 10 in assists in the conference: Kirkpatrick tied in leading the conference with 8, Tinnerello in 3rd with 6, and Jaynes tied for 8th with 3. Tinnerello and Kirkpatrick are 1st and 2nd in the conference in points, with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Cates is tied for 2nd in free-position goals with 2. In draw controls, Ryba is 2nd with 11 and Billingsley is tied for 3rd with 10. Duck is leading the conference in caused turnovers with 6, and Ryba tied for 2nd with 5. Gillman is 5th in the conference in saves with 15. 

Nationally, Kirkpatrick is 3rd in the nation in assists with 8, and Tinnerello is tied for 5th with 6. Tinnerello is tied for 12th in the nation in goals with 9. 
North Greenville is coming off of a 8-20 loss against the Savannah School of Art and Design (SCAD). 

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is 2nd in the SAC in goals with 45, 1st in assists with 24, tied for 3rd in goals per game with 15,  3rd in shot percentage with 52.9%, and 3rd in free position goals with 6. Nationally, LMU is tied for 11th nationally in assists per game with 8., tied for 12th in points per game with 23, 

Lincoln Memorial's record is 2-1 and has not started South Atlantic Conference play. The Mountain Lions have a 1-1 record and they are in the Conference Carolinas, and they have also not started conference play.
