HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis Team played the University of Charleston today, and received their first loss of the season, 1-6.

Starting off the doubles match was Hugo Ruiz Espejo and Alexandru Guirea who beat their opponents 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles was Harper Mills and Sergio Boneta Aranzeta who would have fallen to the Golden Eagles 3-6. Ethan Hirons and Radu Florea were at No. 3 doubles who would have battled with their opponents, but came up short with a 6-7 (6) loss. 

At No. 1 singles was Harper Mills who lost 1-6, 4-6. At No.2 singles Alexandru Giurea would steal a point for the Railsplitters, winning his match 6-2, 6–1. Radu Florea was on court three and he would play a tight three sets with his opponent. Florea would fall short in his third set and finish with a score of 6-7 (5), 6-0, 3-6. 

Following in Florea's lead, was Kai Miyatake who also played in a three set thriller. Miyatake lost 6–4, 3-6, 6-7 (2). Ethan Hirons, No. 5 singles, had his match go down to the wire, dropping his match 4-6, 6-7 (6). Finally, at No. 6 singles was Franco Battaglino who went down 1-6, 4-6.

The Men's Tennis Team will play another match tomorrow, February 15th at the Indoor Tennis Facility.
