Box Score HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis team hosted Montreat College this afternoon on Friday, February 21st. The Railsplitters would have fully swept the Cavaliers 7-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Radu Florea and Ethan Hirons, would have won 6-0. Having a nail-biting match at No. 2 doubles was Mathias Roy and Patricio Garcia. Garcia and Roy would have fallen to the Cavaliers 6-7 (6). Konrad Fischer and Sergio Boneta Aranzeta at No. 3 doubles would have won 6-1.
Starting off the singles strong was Radu Florea, at No.1 singles, and he would have won 6-0, 6-1. Stealing another point for the Railsplitters was Sergio Boneta Aranzeta, at No. 2 singles, beating his opponent 6-4, 6-0. Winning in a dominating match was Mathias Roy at No. 3 singles finishing with a score of 6-2, 6-0. Freshman, Konrad Fischer, came out on top at No. 4 singles with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 10-5. Beating the Cavaliers 7-55, 6-2, was Francisco Faggi at No. 5 singles. Finishing out the singles matches for the day was Patricio Garcia at No. 6 singles. Garcia would give the Railsplitters a definitive win of 7-6 (5), 6-2.
The LMU Men's Tennis team will be back at the Indoor Tennis Facility tomorrow, February 22nd, at 4:00 PM, to play against North Greenville University.
