Box Score HARROGATE, Tenn. - The LMU Men's Tennis team finished up their double header this evening against King University. The Railsplitters would have came out on top, winning 6-1.
No. 1 doubles, Alexandru Giurea and Hugo Ruiz Espejo, crushed their opponents 6-0. Finishing in a similar manner was No. 3 doubles, Ethan Hirons and Radu Florea, winning 6-1. This would have secured the doubles point for the team.
Gaining another point for the Railsplitters was Kai Miyatake at No. 1 singles, winning 6-3, 6-1. Mathias Roy would have had a definitive win against the Twisters at line 3 singles with a score of 6-2, 6-1. At No. 2 singles was Ethan Hirons. Hirons defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-1.
Konrad Fischer would have a tough battle, but would fall to the Twister's No. 4 singles 3-6, 4-6. Getting another win for the team was Francisco Faggi with a 6-1, 6-3 win. Closing out the day was Ahkil Malik, at No. 6 singles, finishing his singles with a score of 6-0, 6-1.
The Splitters will play their next match at home on Saturday, March 1st at 3:30 PM. They will play their first conference match of the season against Anderson University.
