Harrogate, TN – The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team falls to the Tampa Spartans 27-4 Thursday evening.
The Railsplitters were first to score as
Josie Tinnerello scores the first goal of the match with 14:45 remaining in the first quarter. The Spartans respond with 2 goals: Wrisk with 12:54 remaining and Szyluk with 11:41 remaining. LMU ties up the match with 11:23 left in the first, as Tinnerello tallies her second goal of the match, unassisted. Tampa takes the huge lead as they post the rest of the goals in the first: Wrisk with 10:32 remaining, Engle with 9:04 remaining, Howell with 8:14 remaining, Myhal with 7:51 remaining, Wrisk with 7:14 remaining, Engle (Howell) with 6:33 remaining, Howell with 5:44 remaining, Wrisk (Myhal) with 2:39 remaining, Engle with 1:09 remaining, and Engle (Howell) with 0:21 remaining. The score going into the second quarter would be 12-2 with Tampa in the lead.
Lincoln Memorial would also have the first say in the second, with Tinnerello adding her third goal of the match with 12:24 left in the second, unassisted. Tampa would respond with a goal by Myhal with 10:45 remaining. Lincoln Memorial would shorten Tampa's lead as
McKenzie Cates scores her first goal of the match, with
Jaiden Jaynes earning the assist. The Spartans would have the final say in the second as they score three more goals: McGarvey with 7:41 remaining, Engle (VanVladricken) with 2:00 remaining, and Howell with 0:13 remaining. The score going into halftime would be 16-4 with the Spartans having the lead.
The third and fourth quarters would be all Tampa, as they score 5 goals in the third and 6 goals in the fourth. Tampa would secure the win 27-4.

Delaney Duck led in ground balls with 4, as

Elle Miller would play all 60 minutes and earned herself 9 saves.
