Princeton, NJ & Newark, NJ – The Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball team will travel to New Jersey for a pair of matches this weekend as they face Princeton in Princeton, NJ on March 1
st at 4 pm and the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ on March 2
nd at 1 pm.
The Railsplitters are coming off of a 3-0 win against Fort Valley State University.
Matthew Gentry and
Johan Negron led the team in kills with 9 each, and
Eliel Salva Torres posted the highest attack percentage with an 0.833 attack percentage for 5 kills and 0 errors.
John Luers led the night in kills with 30. Gentry and Negron also both led the team in service aces with 4 each. Defensively, Negron and Salva Torres both led the team in blocks with 3, with Negron tallying 3 block assists and Salva Torres recording 2 block assists and 1 solo block, the only solo block from LMU the entire match.
Tate Colebaugh was the team-leader in digs with 9.

Axel van Baars is leading in kills with 119 for an average of 2.70 kills/set, while Gentry has the highest attack percentage on the team with 114 kills and only 15 errors for a .572 attack percentage. Luers is nearly tallying double-digits assists per set, as he has 447 assists on the season for an average of 9.93 assists/set. Gentry is the team-leader in service aces with 18. Defensively, Luers is leading in digs on the team, with a total of 87 digs for an average of 1.93 digs/set. The block category is led by Gentry, who has 13 solo blocks and 34 block assists for a total of 47 blocks so far on the season for an average of 1.04 blocks/set.

This will be the 2nd time that the two teams will be facing each other, with LMU winning the series 1-0. The first time that LMU and Princeton competed, Lincoln Memorial came out on top 3-1.

Lincoln Memorial will be facing NJIT on Saturday, March 2nd in Newark, NJ at 1 pm.
This will be the first time in series history that the two teams will be facing each other.
