Women's Lacrosse to Host First SAC Matchup Against Mars Hill

Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team will start their conference play as they host the Mars Hill Lions Saturday afternoon at 12 pm. 

This will be the 7th match up between the two teams, where the Railsplitters are undefeated in the series 6-0. Their most recent face off was in Mars Hill last season in March of 2024, where LMU came out on top 20-3. The most recent game in Harrogate was in April of 2023, where Lincoln Memorial defeated Mars Hill 16-3.

Lincoln Memorial is coming  off of a 27-4 loss against #1 Tampa. Josie Tinnerello would lead, tallying 3 goals for a total of 3 points. McKenzie Cates would fall behind her with 1 point as she recorded an assist on the match. Delaney Duck led in ground balls with 4, as Ryan Smith and Jalee Davis and Duck all led in caused turnovers with 2 each. Tinnerello would also lead in the draw controls as she posted 5Elle Miller would play all 60 minutes and earned herself 9 saves.

Currently, Tinnerello is leading the team in points with 29, accounting for a team-high 21 goals and 8 assists. Amber Kirkpatrick is behind her with 20 points, which includes 7 goals and team-high 13 assists. Duck is leading in both ground balls and caused turnovers with 14 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers, while Samantha Billingsley is leading in draw controls with 13 on the season.

In the South Atlantic Conference, Tinnerello is 4th in assists with 8, 8th in assists per game with 1.60, 4th in free-position percentage with .60, 1st in goals with 21, 1st in goals per game with 10.13, 1st in points with 29, 1st in points per game with 5.80, 3rd in shots per game with 7.60 and 3rd in shots on goal per game with 6. Kirkpatrick is 1st in the SAC in assists with 13, 2nd in assists per game with 2.60, 3rd in points with 20, and 3rd in points per game with 4. Jaiden Jaynes is 8th in the conference in assists with 5, 14th in points with 12. Davis and Billingsley are 12th and 14th in the conference in draw controls per game with 2.80 and 2.60, respectively. Keegan Gillman is 5th in save percentage with 45%, 8th in saves with 27, and 4th in goals against average with 10.13.  Duck is 3rd in caused turnovers per game with 2.20 and 13th in ground balls per game with 2.80.

Nationally, Tinnerello is 20th in assists with 8, 4th in goals with 21, and 5th in points with 29. Kirkpatrick is 5th in the nation in assists with 13 and18th in points with 20.

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is 4th in the conference (26th nationally) in assists per game with 7.40, 2nd (28th nationally) in caused turnovers per game with 11.80, 3rd in clearing percentage with 85.1%, 4th in points per game with 20, and 4th in shot percentage with 48.8%.

Mars Hill is coming off of a 17-13 loss against Converse.

LMU's overall record is 3-2, while the Lions' record is 1-3.
