Women's Lacrosse Seeks 2nd Conference Win Of The Season As They Host Coker Saturday

Harrogate, TN – The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team will host the Coker Cobras Saturday morning at 11 am as they seek their 2nd conference win of the season.

The two teams have faced each other 8 times in series history, with LMU winning the series 5-3. Their most recent match up in Harrogate was in March of 2023, where the Railsplitters defeated the Cobras 18-2.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 13-14 overtime loss against #1 NAIA opponent SCAD. Josie Tinnerello led the team with 5 points, accounting for a team-high 4 goals and 1 assist. Mary Kostus was the team leader in ground balls with 3, and Samantha Billingsley led in both caused turnovers and draw controls with 4 and 5, respectively. Elle Miller earned herself 15 saves.

Currently, Tinnerello is the team-leader in points with team-high 32 points and 11 assists for a total of 43 points. Kirkpatrick is behind her with 33 points, which includes 14 goals and team-high 19 assists. Delaney Duck is leading the team in ground balls with 20 and caused turnovers with 17, while Jalee Davis leads in draw controls with 25.

Tinnerello is 4th in the conference in assists with 11, 4th in assists per game with 11, 4th in assists per game with 1.38, 1st in goals with 32, first in goals per game with 4, 1st in points with 43, 1st in points per game with 5.38, 3rd in shots per game with 7.75, and 2nd in shots on goal per game with 6.13. Delaney Duck is 2nd in the conference in 2.43 and 5th in ground balls per game with 2.86. Davis is 5th in the conference in draw controls per game with 3.13 and Billingsley is 9th with 2.75. 

Nationally, Kirkpatrick is 3rd in assists and 12 in points, while Tinnerello is 4th in goals, 17th in goals per game, and 12th in points. 

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is 2nd in the SAC in assists per game with 6.63, 2nd (17th nationally) in caused turnovers per game with 12.25, 4th in draw control percentage with 50.5%, 3rd in draw controls per game with 13.88, 3rd in points per game with 18.75, 4th in scoring offense with 12.13, 5th in shot percentage with 47.3%, and 5th in win percentage with 50%. 

Lincoln Memorial currently has an overall record of 4-4 and a 1-1 conference record, and they are sitting in 7th in the SAC standings. Coker also has a 4-4 overall record but a 0-2 record, and they are in 10th place in the conference.
