HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis team played against Newberry College this afternoon. The Railsplitters defeated the Wolves 4-1. 

Finishing off their opponents quickly at No. 3 doubles was Ethan Hirons and Radu Florea. The pairing defeated their opponents 6-1. Securing the doubles point for the Splitters was Harper Mills and Sergio Boneta Aranzeta, at No. 2 doubles. The pairing finished with a score of 7-6 (5). No. 1 doubles, Alexandru Giurea and Hugo Ruiz Espejo went unfinished. 

Getting the first singles point for the team was Radu Florea at No. 2 singles, with a score of 6-1, 6-0. At No. 6 singles, Hugo Ruiz Espejo, went close with his opponent in the first set 7-5, and destroyed in the second set 6-0. Franco Battaglino battled until the very end at No. 4 singles. Battaglino finished 4-6, 3-6. To finish off the day was Kai Miyatake winning at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-4.

The Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis team will be back in action April 2nd against Carson-Newman University. This match will be played at home at the LMU Outdoor Tennis Courts at 1:30 PM.
