Women's Lacrosse Travels to Limestone Wednesday

Gaffney, SC – The Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse team will look to start a win-streak as they travel to Gaffney, SC on Wednesday to face Limestone for their second SAC match up of the season at 4 pm.

Wednesday's game will be the 5th time that the two teams will face each other, with the Saints winning the series 1-4. The last time they played each other was in Harrogate last season in March of 2024, and the Railsplitters fell 6-13. However, the most recent match in Gaffney, which was in April of 2023, LMU defeated Limestone 18-15.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 14-5 win against Mars Hill. Josie Tinnerello and Amber Kirkpatrick would lead the match in points with 5, with Tinnerello tallying 4 goals and 1 assist and Kirkpatrick posting 2 goals and 3 assists. Delaney Duck would lead in both ground balls and caused turnovers with 4 ground balls and 5 caused turnovers, and Jalee Davis would be the team-leader in draw controls with 6.

Currently, Tinnerello is leading the team in points with 4, accounting for a team-high 25 goals and 9 assists, with Kirkpatrick next with 25 points, accounting for 9 goals and team-high 16 assists. Duck is the team-leader in ground balls with 18 and in caused turnovers with 17, while Davis is leading in the draw controls with 20.
 
In the South Atlantic Conference, Tinnerello is 3rd in assists with 9, 5th in assists per game with 1.50, 1st in goals with 25, 1st in goals per game with 4.17, 1st in points with 34, 1st in points per game with 5.67, 2nd in shots per game with 7.67, and 2nd in shots on goal per game with 5.83. Kirkpatrick is 1st in assists with 16, 1st in assists per game with 2.50, 2nd in points with 24, and 3rd in points per game with 4. Duck is 2nd in the conference in caused turnovers per game with 2.67 and 4th in ground balls per game with 3. Davis is 7th in draw controls per game with 3.17.

Nationally, Tinnerello is 3rd in the nation in goals, and 3rd in points. Kirkpatrick is 4th in the nation in assists and 18th in points. 

As a team, LMU is 3rd in assists per game with 7, 2nd (18th nationally) in caused turnovers per game with 12.83, 5th in draw control percentage with 48.5%, 4th in draw controls per game with 13.33, 4th in points per game with 19.83, 5th in scoring margin with 1.17, 5th in scoring offense with 12.83, 4th in shot percentage with 47.5%, and 3rd in winging percentage with 66.7%.

Limestone is coming off of a 14-8 win against Mount Olive. 

LMU's overall record is 3-2 and is currently 4th n the SAC, while the Saints overall record is 4-2 and is 2nd.
