Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball team will finish out the regular season this weekend as they host a pair of games: King on Friday, April 11th at 6 pm and Catawba on Saturday, April 12th at 2 pm. Saturday's match against Catawba will also be Senior Day for LMU men's volleyball.
The Railsplitters are coming off of a 3-0 sweep against Lees-McRae.Â

Eliel Salva Torres both recorded team-high 8 kills, with Gentry posting a 0.600 attack percentage and Salva Torres a 0.800 attack percentage with 0 errors.Â
John Luers led the team in assists with 35, and Gentry andÂ
Axel van Baars were the team-leaders in service aces with 2 each. Defensively, Gentry led in blocks with 4 total blocks, accounting for 2 solo blocks and 4 block assists. Van Baars tallied team-high 4 digs.Â
Currently, Gentry is leading the team in kills on the season with 181 kills for an average of 2.59 kills per set, while also holding the highest attack percentage on the team with a 0.567 attack percentage. Luers is the team-leader in assists as he is averaging double-digits with 10.29 assists per set with a total of 720 on the season. Gentry also holds the lead in service aces with 37 service aces on the season. Defensively, Luers is leading the team in digs per set with 144 digs for an average of 2.06 digs per set. Gentry is the team leader in all block categories: total blocks with 78, solo blocks with 21, and block assists with 57.Â
In the IVA, Gentry is 3rd in service aces per set with 0.529, 2nd in blocks per set with 1.114, 1st in attack percentage with 0.567, 15th in kills per set with 2.59, and 7th in points per set with 3.82. Luers is first in assists per set with 10.29 and 7th in digs per set with 2.06.Â
Eliel Salva Torres is 15th in service aces per set with 0.288, 4th in blocks per set with 0.955, and 2nd in attack percentage with 0.493. Colebaugh is 10th in digs per set with 1.79.Â
Nationally, Gentry is 7th in service aces per set, 11th in blocks per set and 1st in attack percentage. Luers is 8th in the nation in assists per set and 27th in digs per set.Â
As a team, Lincoln Memorial is 4th in the IVA (18th nationally) in service aces per set with 1.59, 4th (25th nationally) in assists per set with 11.17, 2nd (7th nationally) in blocks per set with 2.443, 2nd (12th nationally) in digs per set with 9.40, 1st (12th nationally) in attack percentage with 0.316, 3rd (23rd nationally) in kills per set with 12.17, 1st (2nd nationally) in match win-loss percentage with 0.950, and 1st (1st nationally) in opponent attack percentage with 0.162.Â
In the most recent AVCA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Poll, the Railspitters were ranked #16, tied for the highest ranking all season. LMU is currently 9th in the KPI rankings, and 1st in the IVA rankings.Â

Lincoln Memorial will face the King Tornado on Friday, April 11th at 6 pm in Mary Mars Gymnasium.Â
Friday's match will be the 16th meeting between the two teams, with LMU winning the series 10-5. Lincoln Memorial has won the last 10 matches, with the most recent win being earlier this season in March od 2025, where the Railsplitters defeated the Tornado in a 3-0 sweep. LMU has won by a 3-0 sweep the last 4 matches.Â
King is coming off of a 0-3 loss against North Greenville.Â
The Tornado are in the Conference Carolinas and have an overall record of 3-21Â and a conference record of 3-10. Barton is currently sitting in 6th in the CC standings.Â
