Harrogate, TN -- Four days after falling to Saint Louis on the road, the Lincoln Memorial field hockey team is slated to be back in action on Thursday in the northeast United State against American International. The Railsplitters take to Springfield, MA for the first time in program history for a meeting with the Yellow Jackets. Lincoln Memorial is 1-1 on the season with a season-opening win against Maryville University. American International is 0-2 on the season and has been outscored 15-1 through two games.
On the season, Lincoln Memorial is led in scoring by
Kiara Aleskovich,
Jolie Plaisier, and
Kelsey Beauchamp with three goals each.
Guadalupe Montaldo leads the Railsplitters in assists with two, followed by
Olivia Rosini with one assist. In 37 shots faced, goalkeeper
Cayla Wiggins has allowed only eight goals, tallying 18 saves through two games, good for a 63% save percentage.
Lincoln Memorial and American International will get the game underway at 7 PM on Thursday.
