Men's Soccer Heads To Lenoir-Rhyne To Begin Conference Play

Hickory, NC - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team will make the trip to Hickory, NC on Thursday, September 11th to play against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears at 3 pm for their first South Atlantic Conference match up of the season.

Thursday's contest will be the 19th meeting between the two teams, with the Railsplitters having the upper hand in the series with a 9-8-1 record. Despite that, their most recent face-off was last season in September of 2024 where the LMU fell to the Bears 0-2. Lincoln Memorial last defeated Lenoir-Rhyne at home in October 2019 with a 2-0 victory, while their most recent win in Hickory came in September 2015, which was a 3-2 LMU win. Lenoir-Rhyne has won the past 5 matches in the series, so Lincoln Memorial is looking to snap that streak on Thursday.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off a tough week as they look to bounce back from a 1-2 loss against UIndy and a 0-1 loss against North Georgia. Kei Ishikawa scored the lone goal of the week for the Railsplitters in their match against UIndy.

The Bears go into Thursday coming off of a 4-0 victory over Belmont Abbey.

In the South Atlantic Conference standings, Lenoir-Rhyne is sitting in fourth while LMU is currently in ninth, as the standings are based off of overall records since no conference matches have been played thus far.

The match is slated to start at 3 pm in Hickory, NC. The links to live stream and live stats can be found below.
