Men's Soccer Hosts UAH Sunday

Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team will look to get their second win of the week as they host the University of Alabama - Huntsville Chargers Sunday afternoon. 

Sunday's match up will be the 9th all-time meeting between the two teams, with their most recent contest being on October 20, 2021 where the Railsplitters fell to the Chargers 3-5 in Huntsville. LMU's last victory against UAH was a 3-0 win on September 5th, 2004, and the last time Lincoln Memorial was victorious against Alabama - Huntsville at home dates back to over ten years ago on September 1, 2012. 

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a thrilling 2-0 win over Lenoir-Rhyne on September 11th, where Filip Jeppesen scored off of a Ronan O'Mahony Blondel assist and Gian-Carlo Kama's goal was assisted by Thomas Chao

Currently, Kei Ishikawa, Jeppesen, Kama, and O'Mahony Blondel lead the team in points with two each, with Ishikawa, Jeppesen, and Kama having a goal under their belt and O'Mahony Blondel tallying two assists (tied for 2nd in the SAC). O'Mahony Blondel is the team-leader in shots with seven, while Kama is leading in shots on goal with three. Goalkeeper Daniel Benedek Miklosi has registered nine saves (3rd in the conference) for a 75% save percentage (tied for 3rd in the conference). 

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is 3rd in the SAC in corner kicks per game with six. 

The Chargers are coming off of a 4-3 win over Georgia Southwestern on September 11th. 

LMU enters Sunday's contest with a 1-2 overall record and a 1-0 South Atlantic Conference record, and UAH comes in with a 2-0-1 overall record and a 0-0 Gulf South Conference record. With LMU and Lenoir-Rhyne being the only teams that have begun conference play, the Railsplitters are sitting on top in the SAC standings with a 1-0 conference record. Alabama-Huntsville is currently in 3rd in the GSC standings with a 2-0-1 overall record, as no teams in the GSC have started conference play thus far. 

Kickoff is set for 2 pm in Harrogate, TN at the LMU Lacrosse Complex. The match will be streamed on FloCollege, and the link to the stream along with live stats can be found below.
