Indianapolis, IN - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team opens their season in Indianapolis, IN as they face the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds on September 4th at 7:30 pm. 

Thursday's match up will only be the second time that the Railsplitters and Greyhounds will be facing each other, with LMU winning the series 1-0 by a 3-0 sweep last season in September of 2024. At the time of the first match, the University of Indianapolis was ranked #15 in the nation. 

In the South Atlantic Conference Preseason Poll, Lincoln Memorial was selected to finish fifth, and UIndy was placed fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Preseason Poll. With both teams being selected to similar placements, this match up should provide a competitive start to the 2025 season and set the tone heading into conference play next week.

The Railsplitters had midfielder Ronan O'Mahony Blondel selected into the SAC First Team Preseason All-Conference Team while forward Gian-Carlo Kama and defender David McDougall were identified as players to watch. 

O'Mahony Blondel recorded three goals and one assist during the 2024 season, finishing with seven points, including two game-winning goals.The senior was also named SAC Third Team ALl-Conference last season. 

The midweek match up will be the first contest of the 2025 regular season for both teams.
