Harrogate, TN – Women's volleyball will host Tusculum on Tuesday, September 9, for a 6 PM South Atlantic Conference matchup at Mary Mars Gymnasium.
Tusculum is 2–2 so far this season, with wins over Auburn-Montgomery and Edinboro and losses to Converse and Lee. The Pioneers are hitting .170 as a team, averaging 10.4 kills per set. Jaida Alvin leads the offense with 41 kills (2.41 per set), while Breana Pelbath adds 37 kills at a .312 clip. Setter Victoria Church has paced the attack with 98 assists (5.76 per set), and defensively, Taylor Sanders leads the team with 49 digs through the first four matches.
Lincoln Memorial enters the contest 2–2 after bouncing back with two wins on the final day of the Otter Bay Invitational in Seaside, California. The Railsplitters are hitting .197 on the year while averaging 12 kills per set. Kaytlin Johnson has been the top offensive weapon with 52 kills (3.06 per set), supported by Megan Maier with 33 and Laney Inman with 37 at a .279 hitting percentage. Carley Raleigh and Lauren Pickett have combined for 168 assists, while libero Lauren Jacob has anchored the defense with 49 digs and eight service aces.
Tusculum holds a narrow 41–37 advantage in the all-time series, but the two programs have traded wins in recent seasons, with LMU earning a 3–1 home victory last October.
The theme for Tuesday's match will be a PJ Party, fans are encouraged to come out in their favorite pajamas to support the Railsplitters in their home opener.
