Men's basketball travels to Carson-Newman Wednesday

Harrogate, TN -- Lincoln Memorial men's basketball continues South Atlantic Conference play on the road Wednesday, Jan. 14, traveling to Jefferson City, Tennessee to face the Carson-Newman Eagles. Both teams enter the matchup with identical 8-6 overall records, with the Railsplitters holding a 4-4 mark in league play and Carson-Newman standing at 3-5 in conference action.

Lincoln Memorial has been balanced and efficient through the first half of the season, shooting 47.9 percent from the field as a team while averaging 82.1 points per game and outrebounding opponents by more than three boards per contest. The Railsplitters' offense has featured multiple consistent scoring options, led by EJ Smith at 10.6 points per game while shooting 46.0 percent from the floor, along with Jayden Spearman at 10.1 points per game, Nate Mims at 9.6 points per game, Walter Campbell at 9.5 points per game and Yassin Hussein at 8.9 points per game.
