LMU Cheer Competes in the 2026 UCA Finals

Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial University Cheer team took on a new challenge of a new division this year when they went back to the UCA Championship in Orlando, Florida and once again they set a benchmark for future Lady Railsplitter squads.  The Lady Railsplitters moved to the All Girl Division I Game Day Division and it was a bigger field to compete with this year and still LMU advanced to the finals in the second day and improved from their day one score.

After scoring a 82.9 in the semifinals yesterday, the Lady Railsplitters came back with a 86.3667 today and placed 11th.  The Lady Railsplitters finished 0.9 points behind North Alabama and just outside the top ten.  Sacred Heart followed up their 1st place finish in the semifinals with a near perfect score of 97.8333 and taking the championship.

"I am so proud of these girls and this team!  They have worked hard all season and gave their all against a lot of division 1 programs", said head coach Rhileigh Alred.  "They left it all on the mat and I couldn't be more proud of these girls!  This was the best performance they had all season!"

West Chester took second followed by Monmouth, Towson and Rhode Island.  LMU finished ahead of Austin Peay by 2.1 points, Wagner College by 3.5 points, Stony Brook by 4.2 points, Saint Thomas by 6.1 points, and Loyola University Chicago by 6.5 points.

Now with back to back appearances at the UCA Championships, the Lady Railsplitters will return home and start to prepare for next years competition.
