Newberry, SC – Lincoln Memorial women's basketball look to continue the momentum as they go on the road to the Newberry Wolves on Saturday, January 10th at 2 pm in Newberry, SC. 

The weekend meeting will be the 41st overall contest between the two teams, with LMU falling in the series 14-27. The most recent game between the Lady Railsplitters and the Wolves was last season in December of 2024, where Lincoln Memorial fell to Newberry 49-61. The last time that LMU defeated Newberry was in the November of 2024, and the Lady Railsplitters got the 62-53 victory.

Lincoln Memorial is coming off a 6-game win streak, with their most recent victory being a 72-44 win against Tusculum on January 7th. Kamil Collier and Alexa Smiddy led the team with 19 points each, and Collier was the team-leader in rebounds with 13. 

Currently, Collier is the team-leader in scoring average with 16.8 points per game, with Smiddy and Lexi Patty also averaging double-digits with 14 and 14.2  points per game, respectively. Collier is also the team-leader in rebounding average with 10.8 rebounds per game.

Lincoln Memorial is entering Saturday with a 11-1 overall record, including a 6-1 mark in conference play. LMU is tied for second place in the SAC standings with Carson-Newman.

Newberry is going into the midweek with an 9-4 overall record and conference record of 3-4. The Wolves are tied for sixth place in the SAC standings with Wingate and Catawba.
