SANTA BARBARA, CA – Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball fell in four sets at UC Santa Barbara on Friday night, with the Gauchos taking the match by scores of 25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 25-19. LMU battled throughout and won the third set to extend the match, but UCSB closed it out in the fourth.

Lincoln Memorial finished with 48 kills and hit .106 as a team, while UC Santa Barbara totaled 35 kills and hit .095. The difference came at the net, where UCSB recorded 12 total blocks compared to LMU's eight, helping the Gauchos control key stretches in sets one, two and four.

Axel van Baars led the Railsplitters with 15 kills, adding 10 digs and an ace. Johan Negron followed with 12 kills and three blocks, while Colton Mendez posted 7 kills and Relja Milosavljevic added 6 kills, two aces, and a team-high four blocks. Setter Inbar Shachar paced the offense with 35 assists, and Zachary Zian anchored the back row with a team-high 14 digs.

After dropping the first two sets, Lincoln Memorial responded with its best stretch of the night in the third, using three service aces and four blocks to earn a 25-19 win and keep the match alive. In the fourth, the teams traded points late, but UC Santa Barbara pulled ahead in the final run to secure the set. The match ended on set point at 25-19.
