HARROGATE, TN - No. 20 Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball hits the road this weekend for the Harvard Invitational in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with two matches on the slate in Cambridge. The Railsplitters will face No. 8 BYU on Friday, Feb. 6 at 4 p.m., then wrap up the weekend against Merrimack on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
LMU enters the weekend 4–2 and ranked No. 20 in the latest AVCA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Poll. The Railsplitters have been efficient offensively early in the season, hitting .314 as a team with 12.8 kills per set and 11.4 assists per set, while also averaging 10.8 digs per set. Lincoln Memorial has also been a consistent team from the service line with 20 aces through six matches.
Individually, Johan Negron leads the attack with 65 kills (3.25/set), while Axel van Baars has added 51 kills and a team-high six service aces. George Stevens follows with 41 kills, and Relja Milosavljevic has been one of LMU's most efficient attackers, hitting .491. Inbar Shachar (81 assists) and Roman Mahlerwein (123 assists) have directed the offense, while Zachary Zian anchors the back row with a team-best 46 digs.
Friday's matchup marks the first-ever meeting between Lincoln Memorial and BYU, with the Cougars entering the weekend ranked No. 8 nationally. Saturday's match against Merrimack is also the first matchup between the two programs. Merrimack comes in at 1–3 and has averaged 10.2 digs per set, with early-season production at the net and in serve receive expected to be key in the weekend finale.
