Harrogate, TN – After a long offseason, the Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis team is back in action this weekend, as two matches are scheduled for the first weekend of play, with the Splitters facing King University on Saturday and West Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday.
Lincoln Memorial enters the new season with high hopes, having been ranked third in the preseason South Atlantic Conference coaches poll. The Railsplitters return three seniors to the 2026 team, including preseason player to watch Alexandru Rares Giurea. Two other Railsplitters earned player to watch honors, with Radu Florea and Ethan Hirons also being highlighted by the conference.
The Railsplitters saw success during the fall season, as LMU saw strong individual showings at the ITA Regionals in late September from Giurea along with a dominating team performance in the LMU Invitational.
The Railsplitters will open with King on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. before facing West Virginia Wesleyan at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, with both matches scheduled to be held in the indoor tennis facility. A link to the live scoring page for both matches can be found below.
