Harrogate, TN – Following two wins earlier this week, the 16th-ranked Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis team stays home to face No. 9 Catawba in the South Atlantic Conference battle.
The Railsplitters enter at 10-2, 4-1 in the conference coming off wins on Tuesday against Purdue University Northwest and Wednesday against Emory & Henry, as Lincoln Memorial has been undefeated at home this season, going 9-0 on their court.
Saturdays match will mark the Railsplitters third game against a ranked opponent, as Lincoln Memorial took a win from 23rd-ranked Tusculum last week in a 4-0 sweep at home.
The Splitters have been led in doubles play by the pairings of Victor Bourguignon and Sergio Sebastian Aranzeta Boneta in the one seed going 7-3 to start while Radu Florea and Ethan Hirons have gone 9-1 together in the two seed, as the pair enters Saturday ranked 38th in doubles pairs in the nation.
Singles play has also been kind to the Splitters, as Bourguignon and Kai Miyatake have each allowed just one loss this season, with Alexandru Rares Giurea joining the two atop singles play.
Catawba will be entering Saturday coming off a match against UVA Wise on Friday, as the Catawba Indians enter this weekend at 6-2, 2-0 in the conference.
