Women's Lacrosse Goes On The Road To Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday

Hickory, NC - Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse will face the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears Saturday afternoon at 1 pm. 

The weekend meeting will be the 12th overall contest between the two teams, with LMU falling in the series 2-9. The most recent contest between the Railsplitters and the Bears was last season in March of 2025, where Lincoln Memorial fell 7-18. The last time that LMU took the victory over Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory was March of 2024 with a 10-9 win. 

Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 14-4 win over Emory & Henry, where Wbby Durkin led the team in points with five for one goal and team-high four assists and Josie Tinnerello led in goals with four. 

Currently, Tinnerello is the team-leader in points with 34 with team-high 31 goals and three assists, and Ruby Copeland is leading in assists with 15. Mary Kostus is leading in both ground balls and caused turnovers with 28 and 17,  respectively, and Jaiden Jaynes leads in draw controls with 42. Emily Mirabile has 42 saves on the season with a 43.3 save percentage and Jovie Favati has 55 saves with a 48.7 save percentage.

In the South Atlantic Conference, Copeland is fourth in assists (15), sixth in assists per game (1.67). Tinnerello is fourth in free-position goals per game (0.60), third in goals (31), third in goals, (31), fifth in goals per game (3.10), sixth in points (34), and fifth in shots per game (6.80).  Favati is fourth in saves (55) and fourth in saves per game (6.11).

As a team, Lincoln Memorial is third in the SAC in assists  per game (6.20), and second in save percentage (46.2%).
 
Lenoir-Rhyne is coming off of a 10-3 win over Catawba on March 18th. 

Leaders for the Bears include Kirra Olson (#20) with 20 points for team-high 16 goals and 4 assists, Abbey Walker (#21) with team-leading nine assists. 

LMU is going into Wednesday  with a 6-4 overall record and a conference record of 2-1, and the Railsplitters tied for fourth in the conference standings with Newberry. 

L-R is entering the match with a 3-5 overall record and a 3-0 SAC record. The Bears are sitting in first place in the SAC standings.
