Harrogate, TN – Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball picked up an IVA conference win on Saturday afternoon, defeating Catawba 3–1 in Harrogate. After dropping the opening set, the Railsplitters responded with three straight set wins to take the match 17–25, 25–17, 25–17, 25–21.
LMU finished the day hitting .250 as a team with 39 kills and added a major boost from the service line with 11 aces. Catawba totaled 45 kills but hit .193, as Lincoln Memorial's serving pressure and steadier efficiency helped swing the match after the first set.
Relja Milosavljevic led the Railsplitters offensively with nine kills on .667 hitting and added four blocks at the net. LMU also received balanced production from Axel van Baars, Zadyn LaBreche, and Georgios Armaos, who each finished with eight kills. Van Baars delivered a big all-around match with four aces and a team-high 10 digs, while LaBreche added eight digs. Inbar Shachar directed the offense with 33 assists, helping LMU stay balanced across the front row.
The Railsplitters travel for a two-match week, playing at King University on Tuesday, March 24 at 6 p.m. in Bristol, Tenn., before heading to Lees-McRae College on Wednesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. in Banner Elk, N.C.
