Harrogate, TN – In their third match this week, the Lincoln Memorial Women's tennis team fell to ninth-ranked Catawba at home 4-0, marking their first loss of the week. The result puts LMU's record at 8-4 and 3-3 in the South Atlantic Conference.  

Despite losing the doubles point, LMU's second pairing of Adriana Pellizzari and Natalia Reimer took on the 28th-ranked pair nationally from Catawba, drawing 4-4 in an unfinished match.  

In the second singles match, Reimer picked up a first-set win, outlasting her opponent with a 7-6 victory in the opening set, taking the tie-breaking point 7-5. Reimer would take a 2-0 lead on her opponent in the second set before the match was paused. 

Lincoln Memorial will take to the road for their seventh conference match of the season, facing off against Mars Hill Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in North Carolina.
