Harrogate, TN - Following a win on the road yesterday, the Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis team returned home, as the fifteenth-ranked Railsplitters fell to No. 23 Lee 0-7 on Wednesday afternoon. The loss moves the Railsplitters record to 11-4 this season.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the Railsplitters put up a battle in the third doubles set, as Ethan Hirons and Radu Florea took their opponents to tiebreakers, battling a 6-7 loss.
LMU would take some wins from singles play, as in the second draw, Hirons picked up a comeback set two win for a 6-2 victory. Meanwhile, Florea started the third singles match with a close 6-4 win over his Flames foe.
Victor Bourguignon would force a third set in the sixth draw, as after falling 3-6 in the opening set, the junior stormed back to win the second set 6-4
The Splitters will have a few days off before traveling to play Newberry on Saturday in a South Atlantic Conference showdown.
