Newberry, S.C. - In their first game of five on the road this week, the Lincoln Memorial Women's Tennis team dropped a conference matchup against Newberry, falling 4-1 to the Wolves. The loss moves the Railsplitters record to 9-6 and 4-4 in the South Atlantic Conference.
Despite dropping the match, Rosalie Carrier-Dulac would net her seventh win of the season, needing just two sets to pick up a win in the fourth singles pairing. Carrier-Dulac would dominate the match, taking the opening set 6-2, translating a 2-2 tie into a victory before jumping out to a 3-1 advantage in the second set. Newberry would mount a comeback, but Carrier-Dulac held on, taking the set 6-3 and the match.
LMU is back in action tomorrow afternoon, facing Augusta on the road at Noon.
