PENSACOLA, FL – The No. 13 Lincoln Memorial University men's golf team closes the regular season March 30–31 at the Argonaut Intercollegiate, hosted by No. 1 West Florida at Pensacola Country Club. With the South Atlantic Conference Championship up next on the calendar, the two-day tournament serves as a final measuring stick for a Railsplitter squad that has been surging through the spring.
LMU arrives in Pensacola playing its best golf of the year, stacking three straight top-three finishes against loaded fields. The Railsplitters opened the month with a runner-up finish at the Las Vegas Desert Classic (March 1–3), followed by a third-place showing at the Southeastern Collegiate (March 9–10), and then another second-place finish while hosting the Tennessee River Rumble (March 23–24) at WindRiver. That consistent run has LMU trending upward at exactly the right time as postseason play approaches—and it's reflected in the latest poll, with Lincoln Memorial jumping up to No. 13 in the March 27 Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll after sitting No. 19 in the previous ranking.
The Argonaut Intercollegiate field is packed with national power, featuring multiple programs ranked inside the top 25 of the newest poll, including No. 1 West Florida, No. 2 Florida Southern, No. 3 Grand Valley State, No. 4 Wingate, No. 5 Georgia Southwestern, No. 6 Lee, No. 11 Nova Southeastern, and No. 12 North Georgia. With so many ranked teams on site, every round provides postseason-style pressure and an opportunity for LMU to sharpen its game heading into the SAC Championship.
Individually, the Railsplitters are led by freshman Harry Dickins, who enters the week ranked 12th nationally and has been one of the hottest players in Division II this spring. Morgan Cain adds steady experience in the lineup and is currently ranked 69th nationally, giving LMU a proven one-two punch as the team looks to carry momentum into the conference's championship stretch.
