Men's basketball earns 7-seed in Southeast Region of NCAA DII Men's Basketball Tournament

Harrogate, TN – The NCAA has officially released the bracket for the Division II Men's Basketball Championship, and the Lincoln Memorial men's basketball has been selected as the 7-seed in the Southeast Region and will take on 2-seed Lander. The Railsplitters are set to enter the postseason tournament following a campaign defined by resilience and high-level play in one of the deepest regions in the country. This selection guarantees another year of postseason basketball for the program as they prepare to compete for a regional title against a field of elite opponents.

Lincoln Memorial enters the tournament with an overall record of 19-11. The team's path to the postseason was paved by their performance in the South Atlantic Conference, where they finished with a 14-8 record in league play. This record earned the Railsplitters a fourth-place finish in the final conference standings, serving as a testament to their consistency throughout the rigorous conference schedule. Against regional competition, the squad maintained a strong resume and concluded the year with a regional record of 18-10.

By earning the 7-seed, the Railsplitters will look to capitalize on their experience, as well as their offensive and defensive versatility to advance through the regional bracket. The program has established a reputation for peak performance during the month of March, and this year's group is prepared to embrace the challenge of the postseason environment.
