Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse has their last home match of the regular season on Saturday, April 11th against the Newberry Wolves at 12 pm. Saturday is also Senior Day for LMU women's lacrosse, where five seniors wil be honored:
Sage Leax,
Josie Tinnerello,
Brooke Foster,
Emily Mirabile, and
Mary Kostus.
Saturday's meeting will be the 11th overall contest between Lincoln Memorial and Newberry, with Lincoln Memorial falling short in the series 4-6. In the most recent game between the two programs, which was last season in April of 2025 at Newberry, and LMU fell to the Wolves 8-12. The last time that the Railsplitters defeated Newberry was in April of 2022 in Harrogate, where Lincoln Memorial came out on top 10-9.
Currently,
Josie Tinnerello is the team-leader in points with 45 with team-high 39 goals and six assists, and
Ruby Copeland is leading in assists with 20.
Mary Kostus is leading in both ground balls and caused turnovers with 32 and 21, respectively, and
Jaiden Jaynes leads in draw controls with 59.
Emily Mirabile has 66 saves on the season with a 39.5 save percentage and
Jovie Favati has 69 saves with a 42.6 save percentage.
In the South Atlantic Conference, Copeland is eighth in assists (17), Tinnerello is sixth in free-position goals per game (0.46), sixth in goals (35), sixth in goals per game (2.69), and fourth in shots per game (6.38). Jaynes is third in the conference in draw controls per game (5), and Favati is sixth in saves (68) and sixth in saves per game (5).
As a team, Lincoln Memorial is fifth in the SAC in assists per game (5.38).
Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 16-17 loss against Tusculum on April 8th, and Newberry is coming off of a 8-13 loss against Wingate on April 4th.
Leaders for the Wolves include Shannon Creagh (#14), who leads in goals with 24, Ella Todd (#55), who leads in assists with 31, and Skylar Duval-Lewis (#33), who leads in ground balls with 28.
LMU is going into Saturday with a 6-8 overall record and a conference record of 2-5, and the Railsplitters are tied for seventh place in the conference standings with Coker.
Newberry is entering the match with a 6-8 overall record and a 3-4 SAC record. The Wolves are in sixth place in the SAC standings.
