Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse will go on the road on Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. game at Mars Hill in the Railsplitters final game of the season.
Saturday's meeting will be the eighth overall contest between Lincoln Memorial and Mars Hill, with Lincoln Memorial leading the way at 7-0. In the most recent game between the two programs, which was last season in March of 2025 at home, LMU defeated the Lions 14-5.
Currently,
Josie Tinnerello is the team-leader in points with 55 with team-high 47 goals and eight assists, and
Ruby Copeland is leading in assists with 20.
Mary Kostus is leading in both ground balls and caused turnovers with 37 and 21, respectively, while
Ryan Smith ties Kostus in casued turnovers with 21. Jaiden Jaynes leads in draw controls with 66.
Emily Mirabile has 88 saves on the season with a 40.9 save percentage and
Jovie Favati has 70 saves with a 40.5 save percentage.
In the South Atlantic Conference, Copeland is ninth in assists (20), and Tinnerello is fifth in free-position goals per game (0.56), fourth in goals (47), fifth in goals per game (2.94), sixth in points (55), and fourth in shots per game (6.88). Jaynes is second in the conference in draw controls per game (5.08), and Mirabile is sixth in saves (88) and sixth in saves per game (6.29).
As a team, Lincoln Memorial is fifth in the SAC in assists per game (5.56), and sixth in draw controls per game (11.44).
Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 22-4 loss to No. 16 Wingate on Saturday on the road, while Mars Hill enters after a 4-10 loss to Catawba on the road.
Leaders for the Lions include Abby Cleveland (#10), who leads in goals with 19 and is tied for the lead in assists with seven, Grace Hinkel (#13), who is tied for the lead in assists with seven, and Brooklyn Nemitz (#11), who leads in draw controls with 34.
LMU is going into Saturday with a 6-10 overall record and a conference record of 2-7, and the Railsplitters are in eighth place in the conference standings.
Mars Hill is entering the match with a 3-10 overall record and a 0-9 SAC record. The Bulldogs are in last place in the SAC standings.
The match is set to start at 4 pm in Mars Hill, NC.
