Harrogate, TN – The Lincoln Memorial Men's Tennis team has earned a spot in the first NCAA DII men's tennis Southeast Regional Ranking, placing at 10th in the region. 

The Railsplitters ended the regular season with a strong showing in the South Atlantic Conference tournament, as the Railsplitters earned a dominating opening round win as the three-seed against Coker 4-1 before falling to No. 19 Wingate in the semifinals 4-2.  

LMU finished the season with a 15-10 record, marking the teams third-consecutive season with at least 15 wins while reaching the conference semifinals for the first time since 2024 after falling short in 2025. 

On the courts, the Splitters were led by Alexandru Rares Giurea in singles competition, who finished the season first-team All-South Atlantic Conference in singles play and ranked 51st overall in national individual competition. Sergio Sebastian Aranzeta Boneta and Victor Bourguignon finished ahead of the crowd in doubles play, taking a third-team All-SAC doubles honor.  

The Splitters regional ranking was not their only ranking earned on Wednesday, as the men were ranked 28th in the latest ITA Division II men's tennis poll. 

LMU will have to wait to see if they earned a bid into the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament in 10 days, with the men's tennis selection show occurring on Monday, May 4th at 8:30 p.m. A link to the selection show, along with the full regional rankings can be found below.
