South Atlantic Conference releases 2026 preseason women's volleyball poll

Harrogate, TN -- The South Atlantic Conference released its 2026 Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday, seeing Lincoln Memorial selected to finish tenth overall. The Railsplitters secured 40 total points in the annual voting, placing them just ahead of Mars Hill and Emory and Henry, while trailing ninth place Newberry.

Anderson was selected as the preseason favorite after collecting eight first place votes and 116 points. Wingate followed closely in second with three first place votes and 109 points, while Lenoir Rhyne captured the remaining first place vote to take third with 101 points. Carson Newman stood fourth with 97 points, followed by UVA Wise in fifth, Coker in sixth, Tusculum in seventh, and Catawba in eighth..

Lincoln Memorial will look to build momentum during the upcoming campaign behind first year head coach Peyton McDaniel, featuring key returners who were highlighted as players to watch for the program. Outside hitter Kaytlin Johnson, right side Laney Inman, and libero Lauren Jacob are expected to lead the Railsplitters on both ends of the floor as the team aims to surpass its preseason projection in South Atlantic Conference action.
