Harrogate, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team is hitting the road for a pair of conference matchups in South Carolina, traveling to Newberry on Friday and Anderson on Saturday to take on the Newberry Wolves and Anderson Trojans respectively. The Railsplitters will square off against Newberry on Friday at 6 PM before heading to face Anderson on Saturday at 3 PM, looking to build momentum behind a strong statistical foundation established thus far this season. Offensively, the team has been anchored by
Kaytlin Johnson, who leads the attack with 64.5 points, averaging 3.07 points per set and 2.81 kills per set.
Georgia Dobson has also been a major offensive force for the Railsplitters, contributing 44 points, 2.10 points per set, and 32 kills, while
Finley Sparks has added 43.5 points and 37 kills. Additional offensive firepower has come from
Laney Inman with 37 points and 33 kills, and
Aaliyah Rodgers with 26.5 points and 21 kills. On the defensive end,
Lauren Jacob anchors the defense with significant defensive contributions totaling 90 digs, averaging 4.29 digs per set, including a 94% reception percentage. Johnson also adds significant contributions defensively, with 59 digs.
Jazmine Starks anchors the frontline defense with 18 total blocks and 11 digs, while Dobson adds 18 digs and 8 blocks. Sparks has chipped in 40 digs and 7 blocks to round out a balanced defensive effort.
